Turkish Bath Cappadocia
You must try one of the most iconic and authentic experiences Turkey has to offer: a Turkish bath. Also known as hammam, this tradition dates back to the Romans and remained as a social ritual throughout the Ottoman Empire and is still practised today. An excellent way to relax your tired muscles from traveling and to have a pamper day.
The steam at the Turkish bath both relaxes and detoxifies by sweating. Embrace traditional custom by wearing the waist-cloth and clogs provided to you. Relax in the hamam's large marble room heated by a continuous flow of hot dry air to build up a sweat. The person in charge of scrubbing and foaming will scrub all the dead skin from your body. You will be surprised how much dead skin will come off your body. Then you will receive a soothing soap massage. After a cooling rinse off, you can retire to the cooling-room for a period of relaxation as you enjoy a cup of tea.
