Cappadocia
Cappadocia
Cappadocia boasts one of the most unique landscapes on this planet. Formed over millennia, the wind and rain has worn down the soft volcanic rocks to leave a landscape of craggy valleys and strange lunar rock formations.
The discerning traveller will be thrilled by the visits to the frescoed rock-hewn churches in the Greme Open Air Museum, the underground settlements at Kaymaklı and Derinkuyu, the rock-cut fortresses of Orthisar and Uçhisar and the myriad of hidden churches, monastic complexes and cave dwellings camouflaged in the sensuous folds of the undulating valleys.
